#1 of 59 in Wildlife in Darwin
Crocosaurus Cove, located in the heart of Darwin, allows visitors an up-close and personal view of Australia's iconic saltwater crocodiles and their hatchlings. The site houses the popular "Cage of Death", where you can come face to face with some of the largest crocodiles in captivity. Bring your swimsuit for the "Swim with the Crocs" experience in a protected swimming area allowing visitors to get extremely close to some very active juvenile crocs. You can also try to feed them, accompanied by an experienced staff member, or simply stand by for a rare photo opportunity. The site is also home to the world's largest display of Australian reptiles and a huge freshwater aquarium filled with barramundi fish. • You would never guess that a croc attraction would be in the middle of town and we drove straight past it the first time. There are several feeding shows throughout the day. Can be crowded and views.....  more »
  • We studied about the show time prior to visiting the place. Remember of any discount voucher such as groupon deal or hotel fliers with 10 percent discount. But even if you ended up paying full price.....  more »

  • Amazing experience. Definitely we recommend feeding crocks and cage of death. Together it cost around $350 for 2 people. (Feeding+ cage) We were feeding 2 large crocodiles, holding and pet baby crocodile and pytons, lizard. Also we were in water with the largest crocodile 5,1m 900kg. He was tired and lazy but stuff did the best and left us in water longer time. We have plenty of pictures and we really enjoyed it. They provided photos from cage for extra charge what is for me one big minus. We paid $66 for 2 pics only from cage which is really expensive considering they are just two. If you want to get all of them + video. it’s extra $100. I think it’s too much. Anyway stuff were great helpful. Thank you for wonderful experience.
  • A very nice and fun place to visit, that's for sure! Is great to take the kids (and, why not, the entire family) for a entertaining and educative trip... Essentialy everything what you need to know about reptiles from Oceania... Surely a recommended place to be going.
