Part of the Northern Territory Museum and Art Gallery, Defence of Darwin Experience is a multimedia installation telling the story of the Japanese air raids on Darwin during World War II. It is the first facility in Australia providing visitors with an interactive experience of the period between 1932 and 1945, an important time in the region's history. At this site, you can see the Bombing of Darwin Gallery, a multimedia display that includes objects from the time of bombing, firsthand accounts of survivors, and recorded presentations by prominent scholars.
