With its long arch rising 134 m (440 ft) above the glimmering blue waters of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge stands as the world's tallest steel-arch bridge. Nicknamed "The Coathanger" by locals, the bridge itself forms an impressive site with a giant steel arch extending from one massive granite-faced pylon to another. It connects downtown Sydney to the North Shore for cars, trains, bicycles, and pedestrians. When you cross it, you'll be rewarded with outstanding views of the Sydney skyline and Sydney Opera House. You can walk across the bridge for free or take the Bridge Climb to the top of the arch if you're feeling adventurous. • Great walk after dinner and a sunset cocktail. Good finish to the evening. There were still a lot of people walking across the bridge and security guards are present to ensure everyone's safety  more »

  • It's a lovely place at daylight on mostly sunny and bright days. This is a highlight of any trip to Australia. Put it on the list of must-dos when there. Recommend to share an exciting time viewing the harbor. Above and beyond the horizon. You can either take a ferry to view this enormous structure or take a walk on it and see the beautiful harbour or take a climb up the bridge. Walking along the bridge is also lovely and free of charge. It's a beautiful little walk. You'll get to experience some beautiful views of the opera house and harbour. You can appreciate what the workers went through when you're up close to it. The Opera and the magnificent view from the harbour are a treat to watch.
  • You could either take a ferry to view this vast shape or take a stroll on it and spot the lovely harbor or take a climb up the bridge. Walking alongside the bridge is likewise cute and free of price. It's a beautiful little walk. The exceptional harbor within the international. You can take a ferry ride around inside the afternoon to peer the lovely light on the water and environment. Sydney's most visited attractions. And it is near opera residence.
