Admire the deep emerald green lagoons that serve as centerpiece of Bowness Park. The park dates back to pre-World War I, originally designed with a swimming pool and carousel. Today visitors use it for paddleboating, canoeing, kayaking, skating, and picnicking. You'll find ample opportunity for playing on playgrounds, sitting under shade trees, barbecuing, and sampling tea from the on-site tea house. You can cool off at the splash pad, try your hand at a round of mini golf, or tour around on the miniature train. Restrooms are available on site. Bowness Park reviews

A great outdoor experience for the whole family! Whether it be the smell of charred beef from barbecues or the ambience of fun and enjoyment. The paddle boats and canoes are a great family activity, be careful with small children though. Would recommend on hot days though. Well deserving of 5/5 stars.
I don't know why I've never been to this park before! It is set up so amazing with a ton of picnic tables, great playgrounds and the kids and I took the little train around past the wading pool. There is a ton more for us to explore so I look forward to coming back over and over. The parking lot seemed a little small but we were there on a slow day and there were signs for overflow parking and complementary shuttle service, which is super cool.
