Step back in time at Fort Edmonton Park, Canada's largest living history museum. Founded in 1974, the park contains numerous original and replica buildings, as well as reconstructed street scenes depicting events from the fur trading days and the pioneer era. Interact with costumed actors, ride a vintage steam train, and visit the period buildings to experience the evolution of Edmonton through its early history. • So much fun and history! Ride the train! See the many ways people lived, the homes, stores, and all types of Fort/town-life through a few hundred years. There are old cars, horse-drawn carriages, and people in character! There is a small fair ground, with a beautiful, old carousel included. Could find no alcohol.
  • Easily my favorite place to spend a nice summer or fall day in Edmonton! Rich in history and such an enjoyable place to walk around. They have amazing events throughout the year as well. We make an effort to go several times a year. What a joy to visit!
