Marvel at the second-highest waterfall in Ontario, Kakabeka Falls--aptly nicknamed "The Niagara of the North." Situated on the Kaministiquia river in the eponymous provincial park, the waterfalls plummet from a height of 40 m (130 ft). Easily accessed, a large boardwalk surrounds the river basin, so you can enjoy a scenic view of the powerful cascades. Drive or hike up to the viewpoints, explore the area's pristine nature, and admire the waterfall tumbling over the tall cliffside. Beautiful experience and sight to see. The attached video does not give the sight justice. I would highly recommend this to anybody travelling through Thunder Bay to stop by and see this marvellous geologic wonder. It is truly awe inspiring.

Great atmosphere and picnic spot. Parking is hard to come by during summer and weekends. Worth visiting!
