Water Body · Nature / Park
The strikingly blue glacier-fed waters of Peyto Lake feature mesmerizing color caused by tiny particles of the rock the glacier brings forth when it "flows" in summer. From the lake, you can hike to Bow Summit--the highest point in the Canadian Rockies--and take in views from a viewing platform. If you have mobility issues, you can park closer to the viewing platform. Don't forget your camera. • This lake took my breath away. You need to see it at different times of the day and from as many views as you can. Just stunning!! A MUST see if you are in Canada.  more »
  • One of the nicest lakes you will ever see. Relatively easy walk/hike for all to get to the lookouts if in reasonable shape. This lake is truly beautiful  more »
