  • I booked used Trip Advisor to book a tour to the Termas de Papallacta. Andrea was our multilingual and knowledgeable guide and Marcelino was our trusted driver. The thermal hot springs is located in a small village in the Napo Province, a short day trip from Quito. It is situated in the Andes at an altitude of approximately 3,300m (10,826ft) on the road that leads into the Amazon jungle. The scenic drive from Quito to Papallacta ascends a peak of over 4,000m (13,123ft). I was looking forward to the view but it was a foggy day. Descending from the peak to Papallacta, the ecosystems transforms from alpine to tropical jungle. I went on the one hour guided hike so many photos and videos to share. The hot springs was healing and we even got to spend thirty minutes in a thermal cave that was similar to a steam room. The food at the Spa restaurant was so delicious. All of their vegetables are grown right behind the restaurant (no lie, I took photos). I highly recommend the trout.
  • Well taken care of thermal baths. All amenities like showers and towels available. Worth the money.
