#5 of 9 in Classes in Quito
Vida Verde offers an intensive language learning curriculum with highly qualified professors – each with at least ten years of experience teaching Spanish to foreigners. In addition to classes, Vida Verde introduces students to Ecuadorian culture and daily life through home stays, visits to local markets and museums, as well as excursions to nearby attractions such as Quilotoa, Baños, Mindo, and Otavalo.

Vida Verde means “Green Life.” Our school is part of the small but growing green movement in Ecuador. We have built partnerships with environmental and conservation-based projects, like Río Muchacho Organic Farm, which we support with 10% of our annual profits.

  • Excellent place for learning Spanish and experiencing Ecuadorian culture! I spent 3 weeks learning Spanish at Vida Verde and had a wonderful time in my host family (thank you Rosa!), at the school in Quito, and also during my week in the Amazon. Studying with different teachers really helped to improve my Spanish quickly. All of my teachers were great – always well-prepared, quickly adapting to my needs, covering interesting topics and putting a lot of passion into what they were doing. I also really liked the activities in the afternoons and weekends in Quito and in the jungle – a great way to learn a lot about Ecuador and its endearing people. Now, back home, I am still taking online classes at Vida Verde. This is a great opportunity to continue learning Spanish and as we are connected via Skype it almost feels like being back in Quito.
  • Amazing place to learn Spanish! I spent six weeks at Vida Verde taking Spanish classes, but learning so much more about Ecuadorian culture through the various activities the school offers. Activities included cooking traditional dishes, learning how to play Ecuadorian folk instruments, spending a week learning in the Amazon, among many others. Ultimately what makes learning at Vida Verde exceptional are the people - they genuinely care and want you to enjoy your experience. I cannot recommend Vida Verde enough!
