  • This place is on the Equator so it is very interesting. Worth a stop to learn about the Equator and enjoy some quirky items like shrunken human heads.  more »

  • Whilst probably fun for kids, which is why I don't give it one star, this is more of a tourist trap than a museum. I heard some incorrect information on indigenous peoples from the tour guide (relating to shrunken heads being for 'wisdom' and not the avenging soul), they have an indigenous person there more to take photos of than actually to tell about their culture or home, and there was multiple spots that hold mis-information to the sciences relating to balancing on the equator line. I want to emphasize that this is a fun type of thing, but not an extensively informative one, so its still great for kids I think
  • This place is better than the monument. Here they have experiments you can do at the line of the equator. They also stamp you passport and you can learn a little about the Ecuatorian culture. I love it. Definitely a MUST visit in Ecuador. Bring your passport with u.
