Learn the secret histories, ancient myths, and proud traditions of Kerala at Kerala Folklore Museum, an original and varied cultural heritage institution. Started in 2009 as a nonprofit organization by a husband-and-wife team, the museum collects artifacts from across the state and throughout the centuries. The resulting narrative includes everything from Stone Age utensils to 20th-century musical instruments. Take a moment to appreciate the historical building itself--a composite of remnants from a 16th-century temple, wooden carvings from across the state, and parts of other traditional buildings. I loved this museum. The collection is simply brilliant. If you love museums, if you love to explore the past via artifacts, then this is one place that you just cannot miss. There are so many items that not a single patch of wall lies uncovered. Looking thoroughly through every item can take ages. A beautiful collection nonetheless. I had not expected a private museum to be this well collected.
Worth to visit this museum.. you can buy some items which is very unique. All days open. This is a private museum , and the owners are always available there to explain about the collections . All staffs are very polite and happy to help you... don't miss this place if you are planning to visit Cochin..
