Ross Island, Port Blair
Trip Planner: Asia / India / Andaman and Nicobar Islands / South Andaman Island / Port Blair / Ross Island
At Ross Island, explore an abandoned settlement overtaken by the roots of wild Ficus plants, giving it an otherwordly feel. Residential structures still stand firm, despite that fact that they're being swallowed by nature. Examine the old church, hospital, and bazaar as you walk the brick walkways. The island was first abandoned because of severe weather conditions, which drastically increased the mortality rate. However, after World War II, the British governed the uninhabited island until they handed it over to the Indian Navy in 1979. Today tourists swarm the place, so book your ferry boat early, and remember that visitors must sign in upon entry and exit. Use Inspirock's suggestions to plan your Port Blair trip and find the best activities and attractions for your vacation.

Small island, get to see the governor's house, printing presses and other buildings. Worth a visit. Would recommend to cover the island by walk as it's hardly 2 kms and gives a better experience overall.
Best site to spend your holidays. Much of the things are damaged but you will love. So much greenery. It feels like getting in the soul of nature.
