  • I went to Rikisha from the side of Minakushi Temple. This Hindu temple is made by cutting through the rocks and enshrines the God of Mulgan. It's not like it's a tourist attraction. Depending on the time, there was an elephant at the entrance.

  • It's a beautiful temple cut into the rocks. For easy darshan, there is a fee of Rs.50 per head which is very convenient. The deities carved in rocks will amaze you. Calm temple away from the city. The...  more »

  • Very famous temple with main dieties carved out of mountain. Apart from a neatly maintained heritage temple, the hillock offers amazing view when climbed up. If you are luck enough you can spot peacocks during your climb. Its one of the testament to the INDIAN indigenous architectural abilities.
  • The temple is an age old temple. I have no authority to criticize the temple. However I can point out some of the hardships faced by devotees and pilgrims at the shrine. There is no parking close to the temple. The street in front of the temple is narrow and a one way too. People don't follow the rules. There are no restrooms near by. Handicapped assistance can be afforded. I know it's a rock cave temple. But however the air conditioning and ventilation could alleviate the sufferings during hotter climates. Be careful while visiting the temple tank as it's rocky steps are slippery. The rock cut steps are too high for elderly. A smile at the old man who swishes the peacock feathered fan as you come out of the suffocated sweaty inner sanctum is a bliss. It gives you a breath of cool breeze. I haven't been to the temple after I lost faith. All my experiences were from before. So if any of the above mentioned issues have been already addressed and rectified then my sincere apologies.
