Sitting on the waterfront of Lake Pichola, Bagore Ki Haveli Museum is a traditional, 18th-century townhouse built by Amar Chand Badwa, the former prime minister of Mewar. Today, this restored mansion houses various collections of costumes and modern art, exhibited in many rooms adorned with intricate mirror work. Among the private quarters of the royal ladies, look for the exceptional colored glass mosaics depicting two peacocks, and the queen's chamber that boasts examples of Mewar wall-painting. In the evening, you can enjoy hour-long shows of traditional Rajasthan music and dance in the atmospheric setting of the mansion's courtyard. • Very good collection of puppets, each one is differently dressed-up with nice detailing. should be placed in two big room instead of accommodating all in one room. so that people get time and space to admire it. also turban collection is good with detail information of each type. building architecture is nice with courtyard and other space museum timing 9:30 am to 5:30 pm entry fee for Museum 50/- Must visit place.
  • This is a great way to spend am hour watching a variety of Indian traditional dance and music and some great puppets. It's on at 7pm each evening but queues for the sale of tickets starts just after 6pm and would suggest going around then for a good seat. Take your camera. It's R150 for a photo permit but you'll want to take lots of pictures.
