Wander through a small section of the tranquil grounds of Puri Saren Palace, full of intricate sculptures, religious carvings, and ornate architecture. The palace once served as the former residence of Tjokorda Gede Agung Sukawati (1910–1978), the last ruling monarch of Ubud. Today the grounds are open to the public (not the building though), and hold regular cultural performances featuring masked performers and fire dancers moving to hypnotic percussion. Plan my Ubud trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

Came here in the day time to walk around. It's totally free and we took some nice photos. Not far down the road there's a temple, so we went there for an hour or so then came back here for the... more »
It's a beautiful place. Very relaxing. So many trees. You can spend hours there. Will come back soon.
The place itself is quite beautiful. The trees are wll maintained and its a nice way to spend your afternoon admiring the scenery. The dance is kinda boring though, I quite like the Barong dance. Overall worth visiting just once. I came here with my wife in our honeymoon. There are plenty of awesome things to do in Ubud so remember to pace yourself.
