    very calm situation here, dense enough bamboo forest. i come here at 17:00 local time, it is almost pitch black inside. try this route start from Tenryu-Ji garden, exit at north gate, into this...  more »

    Lots and lots of tourists come to the bamboo forest and it's too crowded. Quite apart from that, there's nothing in the bamboo forest that is particularly interesting or couldn't be found elsewhere...  more »

    It's good to see if you're in the area, It would be lovely to take a walk through when there is not many people so would recommend early or late to take advantage of the peacefulness. A popular location as you'd expect but it's free and worth a look either way. Do not forget to wear comfortable shoes since you will have to take walk and also bring drink! Although the situation were crowded I really enjoying here. It was like you melt with nature. Visited on Spring 2018

    Great place to walk around during the day. Recommend getting there early if you want to be more alone and less in a crowded area. Take your time, enjoy the scenery and the surrounding area.
