Irabu-jima Island, Miyakojima

#2 of 12 in Nature in Miyakojima
Once isolated, today Irabu-jima Island exudes a laid-back, island lifestyle with quiet, paradisiacal beaches and unspoiled coral reefs. With hundreds of scuba diving spots, you'll have innumerable chances to explore the diverse underwater environments of the island, from shallow, boulder-laden sandy bays, to subaqueous limestone crevasses and caves--used as breeding grounds by a legion of colorful fish. The island's compact size makes exploring it rather easy: getting from one side to the other will take you about an hour and a half on foot. Alternatively, rent a bicycle from Miyako-jima, linked here by a handsome road bridge. • Of course, the sea of Miyako Island is beautiful, but the sea of Irabe Island is really beautiful and impressed when the fish can be seen even if it is not snorkeling. There are some stylish accommodations and cafes, but the construction seemed to increase further, and construction was progressing in some places. I thought that i want the beautiful sea and the tranquility which you may say one and nothing to be protected in the future though the environmental visitor from Shimojijima Airport might increase, too.

  • The most bubble island in Miyakojima City. From famous luxury hotels to lovely cottages with local sit-ins. The sea is beautiful and I think staying in a nice hotel on this island is one of the best resort experiences in Japan.

  • It is good from many places including the 17th END to enjoy the blue of the sea, diving in from the Sea also blue is different to enjoy should be. Have in diving spots of the Palace of the King, but here is really overwhelming. Scones and open shaft to a depth of 25 meters, light comes in there and wonder what came to the Palace in Nice sight to witness.

  • Under construction so far surprised many. Is in the area have been developed most rapidly in the Miyako Island. I felt a lot more lovely cottage is a large resort hotels and villas being built. I delighted in the new Inn, that is not nothing splendor, further development as sad.
