Yoshino Coast, Miyakojima

For the chance to see abundant colorful corals and tropical fish, including the iconic clownfish, take your snorkel to the shallows of Yoshino Coast. Unusual in that the coral reef extends right from the tide line, you don't need to be an experienced swimmer to see the area's diverse marine life. In fact, you can simply float on the surface of the crystal clear waters and admire the view. Though the reefs here are certainly a snorklers' paradise, the beach itself is just as picturesque, replete with white sands and lush verdant plant life. Don't forget to bring a beach towel, some water, snacks, and a book to read while you soak up the sun. Due to the exposed nature of the corals here, take care not to touch or disrupt the formations while exploring. A visit to Yoshino Coast represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Miyakojima trip itinerary app to plot your vacation.

  • When I came here about 15 years ago, it was much different from the fact that there was a parking lot and the uncle of the hermit was gone, but there were still a lot of fish. It's scary to be surrounded by fish. I feel that the coral has decreased considerably. On the net, it is written that it is better not to go because there is a unscrupulous trader, but it is 500 yen per parking fee, and the restroom and the shower can be used, and there is a transfer, And I think that it is good separately.

  • When I went there for the first time, I was impressed by coral, colorful fish and nemo, and i went to Miyako to snorkel in Yoshino and had a lot of fun every day on my favorite beach. However, I feel that the appearance of the sea has changed from about two or three years ago. It seemed that the coral had died, and a beautiful fish decreased sharply because of that, too. How did that beautiful Yoshino coast change so far? What's the cause? I want you to return to the old Yoshino somehow. I don't feel like going anymore. I'm very sorry.
