  • When you are strolling around Ueno Park, you will find a walking path lined with splendid stone lanterns. There is a gold-picker building in the back. When foreigners come here and more, they take pictures. There is also a guide in English how to use the water, and i try it happily. Founded in 1627. It is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, Yoshimune, and Keiki, and is made luxuriously according to Nikko Toshogu Shrine for the people of Edo who cannot go to Nikko. It is a valuable cultural property that miraculously escaped the frequent war, and it is not allowed in the building for preservation. There is a profit in the success, the victory, and the health longevity. To see the golden hall nearby, it costs 500 yen. There is only one building. What am I supposed to do? There are a lot of people who get lost at the entrance. The person who takes a picture should enter without hesitation. You can take a picture of the atmosphere of Toshogu Shrine in Nikko, with the beautiful building shining in gold as a backdrop. There are many watermarked birds and animals carved on the wall, and each one has an English explanation. I feel like I've come to the sunlight.

  • Founded in 1627, it is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, Yoshimune, and Keiki, and is said to benefit from success and healthy longevity. The surrounding stone lanterns were dedicated by various daimyo, and the vivid golden tanggate seemed to boast the dignity of the Tokugawa family.

  • Bare, windswept, and cold when we visited on Christmas Eve. Most likely nicer on a summer day with more greenery and atmosphere, or in the late evening when the lanterns are lit. The gold leaf is worth a photo or two but you'll need to pay to enter the grounds. It's really only worth visiting if you're in the area or around Ueno pond/zoo. Has a small pagoda, some stone lanterns, and quite a few small outbuildings.
  • A big golden shrine near the Ueno park. Beautiful to watch, you can pay and get nearer the temple.
