  • There are many temples and shrines in the residential area around The former Asakusa. Ryufukuin is a temple with a new concrete atmosphere, but I felt the atmosphere of a temple, not a building style.

  • It is a temple of the Shingon sect Tomoyama sect though the foundation is unknown. The main hall is made of concrete, but the appearance of the temple was arranged instead of the many buildings around here. According to the guide board next to the gate, the tomb of Kiyochika Kobayashi, who is said to be the last woodblock ukiyoe artist, is located in the precincts of Ryufukuin.

  • We visited 88 sacred sites in Edo Gofu. It is called the most katsuji temple of the Blue Forest mountain Ryufukuin in the temple of the Shingon sect Chizan sect, and it becomes the 82nd bill place of the sacred place. The Gohonson will become the Kongo Kaidai Nyorai. In the cemetery of Ryufukuin is the tomb of Kiyochika Kobayashi who was born into a samurai family. He was the last ukiyoe printmaker who lived through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras, and gained popularity as a printmaker who was ahead of the times by drawing the customs and buildings of Tokyo in the Meiji era, which was changing by devising light and shadow.

  • The date of the founding of Ryufukuin is unknown, but it is said that it moved from Tanimachi to this location in 1645. Thank you very much, we received the "Dainichi Nyorai" of the 82nd place of the 88th place in Gofuuchi.
