  • It's a dry thing, there's no smell, there's a lot of things, there's a lot of north bears, really good look, there are enterprises, it's really worth coming to see. Transportation is also convenient, take the ground to Ueno station, walk almost 10-15 minutes to arrive.

  • Well-fed animals, very professional staff, quality restaurants, and small parks... Highly recommended place to spend a day. All the animals were in very good condition, and very playful. Staff is very...  more »

  • The zoo was clean and well-kept-maintained. I had fun even as an adult! It’s a bit big and requires a lot of walking especially if you’re going to the other side so dress comfortably!
  • It's a very good place and a must visit as a tourist in Japan. In the zoo you can see a lot of exquisite animals! However if you go at the weekend, the waiting line for the Panda is too long. I really wished I could have been able to see the famous Panda, but I can't wait that long. It didn't seem to bother the locals though. The long waiting line. In addition to the exquisite animals, you can find some interesting architectures. Traditional Japanese architecture and even Thai architecture. If you are hungry you can eat at one of the few restaurants in the zoo. However, it's better to have food at one of Tokyo's largest food markets, just a few minutes away from the zoo. Where you can eat some delicious sea food for a fairly reasonable price. You can argue it's a very cheap price compared to Tokyo. Going to Ueno zoo is a very pleasant experience. It's a must if you are visiting Tokyo. I personally enjoyed Ueno and would like to go there again. Not just for the zoo, but also for the amazing museums near the zoo, for the delicious food and to buy some interesting souviners. Going to Ueno is a highly recommended experience in Tokyo. I hope you have fun at Ueno.
