Angel Road, Tonosho-cho

#1 of 14 in Parks in Shozu-gun
Geologic Formation · Nature / Park
When tides go out, the pristine clean sand of Angel Road creates a narrow path to three small islands of Shodoshima. Twice a day, when the tides are low and the sandbar emerges, visitors come to enjoy mesmerizing vistas across the ocean and lush islands. See small crabs wiggling through the interesting sand formations, and write a wish on small wooden plaque (ema), which you can hang on a branch for fulfillment. Legend has it that couples who walk along the road hand in hand will have happiness together. Check tide times before going.
