  • We went to Machu Picchu leaving São Pedro station in the city of Cusco. The train goes very slowly, about 30 km/hr. The trip is worthwhile because the scenery is beautiful. On the way back it gets a little tiring but all right... We took the Dome view category. In it, this included only a small snack and 1 fruit (as soon as the train leaves). The water and other beverages are charged separately. We're sitting on a table facing two other people. We were lucky to go forward (for my husband was sick). The couple in front of us was the whole trip on their backs.

  • Highlight the great service of the officials, and especially Mr. Frank who attended us on this trip in a very helpful, friendly and friendly way. The train is very comfortable, the food veryandy good, and the show too.

  • The only way for going to Aquas Calientes is by this train, or by foot (Inca trail that takes 4 days). This left you no option but to pay for a hefty 120+USD for a round trip, which I think is a total rip off as one way is 100 minutes only. Be prepared to pay this sum if you go to Machu Picchu, because you will have no choice as they monopolised the rails and banned the construction of roads so they can keep the lucrative rip-off. My train back to Ollantaytambo was delayed for 1.5 hours due to a mechanical problem. The staff were helpful and nice tho.
  • This is the most professional company I have ever dealt with: from the ticket office in Cusco, back to the Poroy train station everything was absolutely perfect. The staff is so, so attentive. We had an amazing experience with Saul, Maria, George, and Mariela! I would go again 100%!
