Though it suffers from frigid temperatures for much of the year, Edmonton offers a range of tourist activities for all four seasons.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Fri): view the masterpieces at Art Gallery of St Albert, then find something for the whole family at World Waterpark, and then look and learn at TELUS World of Science - Edmonton.

Toronto to Edmonton is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Toronto to Edmonton. Expect a bit cooler evenings in Edmonton when traveling from Toronto in April, with lows around 0°C. You'll have a few hours on the 17th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling to Calgary.

Traveling by car from Edmonton to Calgary takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. In April, plan for daily highs up to 13°C, and evening lows to 0°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) so you can catch the bus to Banff National Park.

Traveling from Calgary in April, expect Banff National Park to be slightly colder, temps between 9°C and -4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) to allow time to take a bus to Jasper National Park.

Jasper National Park
