Banff National Park

Among the world's oldest national parks, Banff National Park serves as a World Heritage-listed mecca for cyclists, hikers, skiers, bird-watchers, mountain climbers, and anyone else with a passion for exploring vast untouched wildernesses.
Get outdoors at Natural Bridge and Parker Ridge Trail. Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies and All In The Wild Gallery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Beeland (in Spillimacheen), Golden (Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch, Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, &more) and Takakkaw Falls (in Yoho National Park). There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park, steep yourself in history at Cave and Basin National Historic Site, stroll through Plain of Six Glaciers, and stop by Banff Indian Trading Post.

To find where to stay, more things to do, ratings, and other tourist information, you can read our Banff National Park day trip planning website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Calgary International Airport, Cranbrook/Canadian Rockies International Airport and Edmonton International Airport. In November, daytime highs in Banff National Park are 27°F, while nighttime lows are 14°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
