The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Step off the beaten path and head to Hallim Park and Alive Museum Jeju. Get outdoors at Hyeopjae Beach and Jeongbang Waterfall. Get out of town with these interesting Jeju side-trips: Seogwipo (Seongsanpo Jogabi Museum, Yakchunsa Temple, &more). There's much more to do: delve into the lush surroundings at Bijarim Forest, enjoy the sand and surf at Hamdeok Beach, and get outside with Gwakji Gwamul Beach.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 21st (Mon), take in the spiritual surroundings of Beomeosa Temple, then ponder the design of Busan Station Plaza, then explore the different monuments and memorials at UN Memorial Cemetery, and finally kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach. On the 22nd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: snap pictures at Busandaegyo Bridge, then get great views at Taejongdae, and then indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Busan takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and bus. Traveling from Jeju in September, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Busan, with lows of 65°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Tue) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 23rd (Wed), steep yourself in history at Yangdong Folk Village, steep yourself in history at Cheomseongdae Observatory, contemplate the long history of Cheonmachong Tomb, then contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Historic Area, and finally see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. While traveling from Busan, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Gyeongju, ranging from highs of 71°F to lows of 63°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Wed) early enough to go by car to Sokcho.

Tourism in Sokcho mostly revolves around the local national park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Thu): get engrossed in the history at Sokcho City Museum & Displaced Civilians Folk Village, contemplate the long history of Gwongeumseong Fortress, then hike along Ulsanbawi Rock, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Naksansa Temple.

Drive from Gyeongju to Sokcho in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, flight, and bus; or do a combination of flight and bus. In September in Sokcho, expect temperatures between 68°F during the day and 66°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Thu) early enough to drive to Seoul.
