Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sun): contemplate the waterfront views at Halong Bay. Indisputably one of Vietnam's most atmospheric destinations, Hoi An contains a World Heritage-listed old town boasting over 2,000 years of culture and history.
Relax by the water at Non Nuoc Beach and My Khe Beach. For shopping fun, head to Rubin Cloth Shop or Bibi Silk. Take a break from Hoi An with a short trip to Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture in Da Nang, about 40 minutes away. There's more to do: stop by Friendly Shoe Shop and soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.

Traveling by combination of ferry, taxi, and flight from Halong Bay to Hoi An takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and bus. In September, plan for daily highs up to 90°F, and evening lows to 76°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sat) so you can drive to Hue.
