A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Sapporo Clock Tower and Former Hokkaido Government Office Building will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura) and Susukino. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Sapporo: Mitsui Outlet Park, Sapporo Kitahiroshima (in Kitahiroshima) and Otaru (Otaru Canal & Otaru Music Box Museum Main Building). Noboribetsu

Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sun): admire nature's wide array of creatures at Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe, then take in the dramatic natural features at Jigokudani, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Yuzawa Shrine, and finally relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers.

You can drive from Furano to Noboribetsu in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Furano in November, expect Noboribetsu to be a bit warmer, temps between 9°C and 3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) so you can go by car to Hakodate.
