Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Cape Hirakubozaki and Ishigaki Yaima Village are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get in touch with nature at Kabira Bay and Kabira Ishizaki Manta Scramble. Spend the 25th (Tue) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour.
