Tokyo is known for historic sites, parks, shopping, museums, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: wander the streets of Odaiba, enjoy breathtaking views from Tokyo Skytree, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sensō-ji, and make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine.

Dublin, Ireland to Tokyo is an approximately 18-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. You'll lose 9 hours traveling from Dublin to Tokyo due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Dublin in June, expect Tokyo to be a bit warmer, temps between 30°C and 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Tue) to allow time to take a train to Kanazawa.

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Wed): kick back and relax at Gongenmori Beach, wander the streets of Higashichaya Old Town, then don't miss a visit to Omicho Market, then steep yourself in history at Nomura Family Samurai House, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Kenrokuen Garden. Here are some ideas for day two: indulge your thirst for a good beer at Noguchi Naohiko Sake Institute, then cruise along Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, then make a trip to Seisonkaku Villa, and finally examine the collection at Ishikawa Prefectural Museum for Traditional Products and Crafts.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Get out of town with these interesting Kyoto side-trips: Osaka (Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, & more) and Todai-ji Temple (in Nara). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, wander the streets of Gion, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Enryaku-ji Shakado, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Getting from Kanazawa to Kyoto by train takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in June, and nighttime lows around 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Tue): take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en Garden, don't miss a visit to Himeji Castle, then don't miss a visit to Shoshazan Engyoji, and finally indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens.

Traveling by train from Kyoto to Himeji takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Kyoto, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Himeji, ranging from highs of 28°C to lows of 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Tue) so you can take a train to Hiroshima.
