— 16 nights

Outback Capital of the Northern Territory

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Adelaide River War Cemetery and Christ Church Cathedral Darwin will appeal to history buffs. Visiting Territory Wildlife Park and Wangi Falls will get you outdoors. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Darwin: Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve (in Humpty Doo), Adelaide River (Robin Falls & Adelaide River Railway Museum) and Litchfield National Park (Florence Falls, Buley Rockhole, &more). The adventure continues: brush up on your military savvy at Darwin Military Museum, identify plant and animal life at Casuarina Coastal Reserve, examine the collection at Chinese Temple and Museum Chung Wah, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Cathedral.
