A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
On the 18th (Mon), look for gifts at Furusato. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Tomori no Amai, enjoy the sand and surf at Yonaha Maehama Beach, take in the views from Ikema Ohashi Bridge, snap pictures at Irabu Ohashi, then enjoy the sand and surf at Sunayama Beach, and finally examine the collection at Yukishio Museum.

Kayseri, Turkey to Miyakojima is an approximately 25-hour flight. The time zone changes from Eastern European Time (EET) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 6 hour difference. While traveling from Kayseri, expect somewhat warmer days and warmer nights in Miyakojima, ranging from highs of 32°C to lows of 27°C.
