A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Get some historical perspective at Fushimi Inari Shrine and Former Hokkaido Government Office Building. Step out of the city life by going to Niseko Hanazono Resort and Rusutsu Resort Ski. Step out of Sapporo to go to Niseko-cho and see Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area, which is approximately 1h 40 min away. And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at The Hokkaido University Museum, sample the tasty concoctions at Asahi Breweries Hokkaido Brewery, and hit the slopes at Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort.
