Hugging the western tip of Lake Titicaca, Puno serves as a melting pot of indigenous and imported cultures, and makes a great base for explorations around the region.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Mon): walk around Parque Huajsapata, explore the different monuments and memorials at Sillustani, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Umayo.
