The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Gwaneumsa Temple and The Islander. Visiting Manjanggul Cave and Gwakji Gwamul Beach will get you outdoors. Step out of Jeju to go to Seogwipo and see Seongsan Ilchulbong, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Hamdeok Beach, step off the mainland to explore Udo, head outdoors with Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, and walk around Sarabong Park.

You can fly from Jeju to Busan in 3 hours. Other options are to do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In May, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Thu): get curious at Silla Arts And Science Museum, then contemplate the long history of Bulguksa Temple, and then appreciate the history behind Seokguram.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Busan in May, expect nights in Gyeongju to be about the same, around 18°C, while days are little chillier, around 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Thu) early enough to travel to Seoul.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Popular historic sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Cheonggyecheon Stream are in your itinerary. Head to Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Marketfor some retail therapy. Step out of Seoul with an excursion to Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon--about 1h 5 min away. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Insadong, contemplate the long history of Jongmyo Shrine, admire the striking features of Changdeokgung Palace, and enjoy breathtaking views from N Seoul Tower.
