Explore Reykjavik's surroundings by going to Thingvellir National Park (in Thingvellir), Keflavik Maritime Center (in Keflavik) and Thermal Spas (in Grindavik). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hallgrimskirkja, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, pause for some photo ops at Sun Voyager, and admire the masterpieces at Einar Jonsson Museum (Listasafn Einars Jonssonar).

Akureyri is known for nature, wildlife, parks, adventure, and historic sites. Höfn or Höfn í Hornafirði is an Icelandic fishing town in the southeastern part of the country. Get out of town with these interesting Hofn side-trips: Jokulsarlon (Diamond Beach, Glacier Lagoon, & more) and Hvalnes Lighthouse (in Hornafjorour). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at The Thorbergur center, take in the dramatic natural features at Hoffellsjokull Glacier, and examine the collection at Huldusteinn.

Getting from Akureyri to Hofn by car takes about 6.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and bus; or take a bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) so you can travel to Blaskogabyggd.

On the 31st (Tue), take in the dramatic scenery at Bruarfoss Waterfall, then take in the natural beauty of Haukadalur, then take in the dramatic scenery at Gullfoss Falls, and finally witness a stunning natural landmark at Strokkur.

You can do a combination of flight and bus from Hofn to Blaskogabyggd in 4.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus.
