Getting from Takayama to Kanazawa by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. In May in Kanazawa, expect temperatures between 72°F during the day and 55°F at night. You'll have a few hours on the 5th (Wed) to wrap things up before traveling home.
