Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Nakijin Castle Ruins and Nakagusuku Castle Ruins. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Scuba & Snorkeling and Katsuren Castle Ruins. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Onna-son: Daisekirinzan (in Kunigami-son), Okichan Theater (in Motobu-cho) and St. Clara Church (in Yonabaru-cho). And it doesn't end there: appreciate the extensive heritage of Okinawa Peace Memorial Park, explore the historical opulence of Zakimi Castle Ruins, explore the striking landscape at Cape Manzamo, and contemplate the long history of Sefa-Utaki.

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Step off the beaten path and head to Yonaha Maehama Beach and Yabiji. Take a break from the city and head to Sunayama Beach and Toguchi no Hama. There's much more to do: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, don't miss a visit to East Henna Cape, snap pictures at Kurima Bridge, and step off the mainland to explore Shimojiiima Island.

Getting from Onna-son to Miyakojima by combination of bus and flight takes about 3.5 hours. Traveling from Onna-son in March, Miyakojima is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Tue) early enough to travel to Ishigaki.

You can do a combination of flight and train from Ishigaki to Hiroshima in 5.5 hours. Another option is to fly. When traveling from Ishigaki in March, plan for slightly colder days in Hiroshima, with highs around 16°C, while nights are colder with lows around 6°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.
