Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Get a sense of the local culture at Nakijin Castle Ruins and Okinawa Peace Memorial Park. Visit Katsuren Castle Ruins and Zakimi Castle Ruins for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Onna-son side-trips: Okichan Theater (in Motobu-cho), Daisekirinzan (in Kunigami-son) and Nakagusuku Castle Ruins (in Kitanakagusuku-son). When traveling from Ishigaki in March, plan for little chillier days and much colder nights in Hiroshima: temperatures range from °C by day to °C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Head to Dotombori District and Fuuka-Kimonofor plenty of shopping. Do some cultural sightseeing at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kinkaku-ji.
