Ishigaki

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Step off the beaten path and head to Cape Hirakubozaki and Kayaking & Canoeing. Get outdoors at Kondoi Beach and Ishigaki Island Limestone Cave. There's still lots to do: glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, enjoy the sand and surf at Yonehara Beach, stroll around Banna Park, and look for gifts at Yurateiku Market.

Valletta, Malta to Ishigaki is an approximately 22.5-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time (CET) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 8 hours. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Valletta in March: high temperatures in Ishigaki hover around 26°C and lows are around 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu) early enough to catch the ferry to Iriomote-jima.

Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
