The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
When in Busan, make a side trip to see Oedo Botania in Geoje, approximately Geoje away. There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, make a trip to Gwangandaegyo Bridge, and wander the streets of Gamcheon Culture Village.

Tel Aviv, Israel to Busan is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Tel Aviv to Busan is 7 hours. Traveling from Tel Aviv in May, plan for little chillier nights in Busan, with lows around 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Thu) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

Explore Gyeongju's surroundings by going to Gatbawi (in Gyeongsan), Ulsan (Ulsan Petroglyph Museum & Sinbulsan Falls Recreational Forest) and Daegu (Seomun Market, Gukchaebosang Memorial Park, &more). You'll find plenty of places to visit near Andong: Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park (in Mungyeong), Cheongnyangsa Temple (in Bonghwa-gun) and Cheongsong-gun (Jusanji Pond & Juwangsan National Park).
