High in the Andean foothills, Quito remains one of the world's most photogenic capital cities, featuring two dramatic mountain ranges as its backdrop.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Wed): look for gifts at La Mundial Custom Boots, then deepen your understanding at La Ronda, then admire the striking features of Fundacion Iglesia de la Compania, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Quito Old Town. On the next day, admire the striking features of Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, take an in-depth tour of Museo Templo del Sol Pintor Ortega Maila, don't miss a visit to Mitad Del Mundo, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica del Voto Nacional, and finally explore the world behind art at La Capilla Del Hombre.

Guayaquil to Quito is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Guayaquil in August, things will get slightly colder in Quito: highs are around 27°C and lows about 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) so you can travel to Machu Picchu.
