Guayaquil to Quito is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Guayaquil in August, things will get slightly colder in Quito: highs are around 27°C and lows about 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) so you can travel to Machu Picchu.
