One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get a sense of the local culture at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Trickeye Museum Seoul. Grevin Museum and Seoul Museum of History will appeal to museum buffs. Change things up with a short trip to Everland in Yongin (about 1h 15 min away). There's much more to do: shop like a local with Myeongdong Shopping Street, don't miss a visit to Bukchon Hanok Village, appreciate the extensive heritage of Changgyeonggung Palace, and explore the striking landscape of Bukhansan National Park.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Seoul is an approximately 10-hour flight. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Seoul due to the time zone difference. While traveling from Kuala Lumpur, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Seoul, ranging from highs of 35°C to lows of 27°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sun) so you can travel to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 10th (Mon), get to know the fascinating history of Tongiljeon, contemplate the long history of Bulguksa Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Golgulsa Temple, and finally contemplate the long history of Oksan Seowon.

You can fly from Seoul to Gyeongju in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. While traveling from Seoul, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Gyeongju, ranging from highs of 26°C to lows of 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Take a break from the city and head to Songdo Beach and Dadaepo Beach. Get some cultural insight at Tongdosa Temple and Birthplace of President Roh Moo-hyun. When in Busan, make a side trip to see Gimhae National Museum in Gimhae, approximately 52 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, admire the local landmark of Busan Station Plaza, and browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market.

Getting from Gyeongju to Busan by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. While traveling from Gyeongju, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Busan, ranging from highs of 36°C to lows of 27°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
