Hollywood Walk of Fame Reviews
Rien de bien original mais un incontournable de LA. A faire en promenant avec le Chinese Théâtre. Bcp de monde évidemment more »Nothing very original but a must-see in LA. To do by walking with the Chinese Theatre. World Bcp obviously
Streets were crowded not just by people walking to see the stars but also with many stalls trying to sell items. Some stars are being covered by these stalls, some stars were even dirty and cleanlines... more »
Being a VIP for a day, feeling like a world-renowned actor or actress and imagining yourself in a movie set. you can be all this when you find yourself on the most famous street in the world, the most loved by stars all over the world. those who made history, find them all "at your feet" To get there there are endless ways, transport and rented vehicles are not lacking. There is a nice shopping center in the middle of the starry street, where you can see so much stuff and where you can eat well without spending a fortune. If you go to Los Angeles, you must stop here one night!
It's bizarre, the hero worship that occurs here. The stars on the Hollywood walk of fame aren't the person they commemorate. All they can do is conjure up the memories and feelings you have of that famous person. And yet, they provide you with something interesting. You walk along, read the names, and remember, or debate, or get angry if you hate the star recipient. You won't recognize at least half of the names, there's no additional contextual information. Stars of a forgotten time, that were once so loved that thousands of fans demanded they get a dusty old plaque on a dirty old street in a town that used to make movies. Now no one knows who they are or why they were ever there. However, some will be forever remembered, their mark on the world so indelible that they'll be discussed forever like Caesar or Shakespeare or Spielberg. I work right off the street, and every day tourists walk through the boulevard with their necks craned, heads pointed at the ground as they read off names out loud to each other, or take pictures, or stop and think about the person that starred in the film, or sang the song, or spoke on the radio and worked their way into a shared existence with the rest of us. The stars are dirty, the people on this street are dirty. But every once in a while, for a moment, they make you feel truly happy, because you remember someone or something you forgot, and loved, and you get to have that again, for a moment, until some homeless person screams in the middle of the intersection and your realize where you are. And then you read the next star.
