Experience firsthand the cascading water and thunderous sounds of one of the country’s most famous natural wonders at Cave of the Winds. The behind-the-scenes tour takes you 53 m (175 ft) down into the Niagara Gorge to the “hurricane deck” at the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls. Cling tight to your hood as you walk carefully along the wooden walkway, enduring the howling wind and spraying mist of the majestic waterfall. Bring a waterproof camera to capture pictures of the action and of the breathtaking scenery. Rain gear and no-slip shoes are provided on the tour free of charge. Cave of the Winds Reviews
This was very nice. The poncho and flip flops are provided because you will get soaked. Up close and personal with the Falls loved it. more »
Get up close and personnel to the pounding water of the American Falls. Raincoat provided to try and keep you dry. Great opportunity to experience the roar of the water. more »
I mean... it’s completely indescribable. We came planning to do Maid of the Mist (which was also totally exceptional), but had never heard of Cave of the Winds. We got it in an attraction package. Honestly, it made the trip. To get THAT up close and personal with the Falls... I mean there’s no way to describe what that’s like. If anyone goes to Niagara, I will instantly recommend Cave of the Winds.
Most amazing experience ever! Warning...you will get soaked even with the poncho on. It was so beautiful with rainbows and wildflowers everywhere. The power of the water rushing down next to you is indescribable! If you have to choose between this one and the one on the Canadian side do this one. The other one is nice too, but you don't get right under the Falls. Just depends on what picture is more important to you and how wet you want to get. Love that they give out the water shoes with your ticket and you can keep them!
